The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey

This book describes the seven habits of highly effective and successful people in the business world. You can purchase it from different stores like Amazon. Here’s one of the links to the Book.

Following are the 7 habits of successful people:

1. Be proactive:

Successful people take charge of their lives, make plans, and take action. Planning is a must thing and all of the limitations should be mentioned with their procurement. These highly effective people don’t wait for opportunities to come to them, instead, they actively seek out and create opportunities.

Failure is the key to success and leaders take lessons from their failures. They learn and redesign their strategy and start their journey to success with double power.

2. Begin with the end in mind:

Successful people have a clear vision of what they want to achieve, and they work towards it every day. They have a road map to reach their goals and know what steps need to be taken to get there. These successful and highly effective people set S.M.A.R.T. goals for themselves and set priority levels for each and every task.

3. Put first things first:

Successful people understand that time is their most valuable resource, so they prioritize their tasks and focus on what’s most important. They make a habit of planning, organizing, and managing their time effectively.

4. Think win-win:

Successful people foster a collaborative environment by thinking about how everyone can benefit from a situation. They actively seek mutually beneficial solutions and strive to achieve a win-win outcome.

5. Seek first to understand, then to be understood:

Successful people are great listeners. They make an effort to understand other people’s perspectives before expressing their own opinions. They have excellent communication skills and can articulate their ideas clearly.

6. Synergize:

Successful people work well in teams and believe that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. They recognize and appreciate the diversity of their team members and leverage each other’s strengths to achieve common goals. Moreover, they lead by example and give importance to everyone’s perspective of their team.

Not a day goes by that we can’t at least serve one other human being by making deposits of unconditional love. Stephen R. Covey

7. Sharpen the saw:

To be effective, we must take the time to renew ourselves physically, spiritually, mentally, and socially. The continuous renewal allows us to synergistically increase our ability to practice each habit.

Successful people know the importance of self-care and personal development. They make time to recharge their batteries, pursue hobbies and interests, and invest in their own growth and development.

Conclusion:

As I had already mentioned at the beginning of the work, reading this book seemed very interesting to me, since they are good habits, which at least I should try to encourage more in my person, since they help from organizing your time, how to have a mentality to do everything you do well and to conclude things successfully.

In addition to the fact that it is a book that is very easy to understand and habits that are equally easy to apply in daily life, I think would be the best time to use them, since the small things that we are doing every day are what form and shape all our life.
