The Four Phases of the Learning Process

In psychology, the four stages of competence, or the “conscious competence” learning model, define the psychological states we go through as we progress from incompetence to competence in a skill.

It suggests that people are initially unaware of how little we know, or unaware of our incompetence. When we recognize our incompetence, we consciously acquire a skill and then consciously use it. 3. Conscious competition

4. Unconscious competence
