What is a Failure

I just wanted to know that “What is a Failure in your point of view ?”

As you might know well that failure is the opposite of success. Now the query is that the failure is also different for each of us. Failure for me will have a different definition as the definition of failure to you. In short everyone might have its own unique opinion for the failure.

So in your point of view, “How you define a failure?”

Failure, what is a Failure

It’s a good question. I suppose the traditional view might be that failure is missing the mark or what you were aiming for? I guess for me we only fail when we give up trying. I may not have thought this through in every scenario right enough but that’s my initial thought.

  2. Great questions! Making me think.

The only failure that matters is to fail to see things as they really are.

    Easier said than done!

We are so filled with bias, life experience, expert judgment, training, education, affect maturity, and environmentals then is there any wonder we approximate things.

So my response is: Always ask ‘Are things as they seem to be?’

I am trying to redefine this concept. I am in fact trying to get it out of my vocabulary and replace it with experiential learning.

  4. The failures come in many forms, some hurt, others benign. Why? How? What now? How can “the miss” instruct me? Where and how did I go wrong? An honest appraisal leads to What now? Failure opens the door to new beginnings. An old quote stuck with me, “God majors in the reweaving of lives.”

What a perfect answer so far, failure is the sign of try again with a lot of experience and self confidence. Failure always makes us stronger if we think it positive.

  5. Failure is defined as anything that is incomplete..started but not finished.

There is the old adage, if at first you don’t succeed try, try again. Failure as someone said is totally giving up.

  7. Kim Petitt says:

Failure is an event never a person, it not just a cliche or a nice quote. As a Christian, there is no failure only lessons learned (Romans 8:28).

If people that know me do not like me because they perceive me as an unfeeling evil human being, that would be my biggest failure.

  9. Failure to me is an opportunity! A way to learn and grow from experiences that didn’t go as planned! I’m a rock climber, I know failure very well and when you fail at something all it means is you have found another way NOT to do something. Then you can check that off and keep pushing for success. Thanks for sharing!
